Today, Parkview continues its legacy by offering a variety of worry-free living options tailored to suit diverse lifestyles. Their community provides a comprehensive continuum of care, including exceptional carefree homes, beautiful independent apartments, quality assisted living, and a 24-hour health care center.
Challenges Faced
As Parkview continued to grow, they embarked on a strategic initiative to upgrade their financial management system. Parkview Home had been relying on the 21st Century accounting software for several years. While the system had served its purpose adequately in the past, it lacked the sophistication and flexibility required to meet the evolving needs of the organization. Key challenges with the old system included limited reporting functionalities, cumbersome data export processes, and the inability to support concurrent access by multiple users. Moreover, as the organization grew, the need for a more scalable and integrated solution became apparent.
- Outdated system: The 21st Century accounting software was outdated and no longer met the organizations requirements for efficient financial management.
- Limited Reporting Capabilities: The old system lacked robust reporting features making it challenging to generate insightful financial reports for decision- making. Although they are a single site facility, they need the capability to report on individual cost centers separately.
- Inefficient Data Export: Exporting data from the legacy system was time-consuming and cumbersome, hampering productivity.
- Lack of Multi-User Access: With the old system, only one user could access the software at a time leading to bottlenecks and delays in accessing critical financial information.
Solution
Lisa Young, the newly appointed Controller at Parkview Home, took charge of leading the transition to a new ERP solution. With a successful history of collaboration with Intellitec Solutions in her previous role, Lisa reached out to Intellitec Solutions due to their specialized expertise in the industry. Moreover, Lisa Young, who had previously worked with Intellitec Solutions at another Senior Living organization, brought her firsthand experience to the table. After careful consideration, Parkview Home opted to adopt Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central along with Solver.
Benefits Realized
- Enhanced Reporting: Solver’s robust reporting enable Parkview Home to generate detailed financial reports with ease. The system provides drill down capabilities, allowing users to analyze data at granular levels: rather than having separate reports for each cost center they now have one report with drill down to the individual centers.
- Improved Data Export: Business Central streamlines the process of exporting data, saving time, and reducing the risk of errors associated with manual extraction: push button data export to Excel everywhere.
- Multi-User Access: With Business Central and Solver, multiple users can access the system simultaneously, fostering collaboration and improving workflow efficiency across the organization.
The transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Solver has empowered Parkview Home with a modern and comprehensive financial management solution. The enhanced reporting capabilities, improved data manipulation features, and multi-user accessibility significantly improved operational efficiency and decision-making processes. Parkview Home is now better equipped to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving healthcare landscape while delivering exceptional care to residents.
