In August 2026, we got the next roll out of Sage Intacct updates, with several new features and updates that really matter to how most businesses operate. So, we thought we’d put together an overview of the standout details from this latest Sage Intacct release to help you explore what’s new.
Getting Around Easier
The first thing worth highlighting are the changes to navigating Sage Intacct. The global navigation has been updated to help you move between Sage applications you’re using, like Sage Expense Management or HR, through a ‘product switcher’ menu added to the navigation bar. It makes it faster to move around and provides the same tools (Copilot, Collaborate, etc.) across each application.
It seems like a subtle thing to mention, but making the way we work and move within applications is a ‘quality of life’ thing that people can take for granted. The time you save without even knowing it adds up!
AI Finds Anomalies for You
Sage continues to roll out new AI features and agents, and with these Sage Intacct updates, the AI tools now analyze vendor billing patterns and submission details. Using AI to flag unusual transaction amounts and unrecognized vendor email addresses faster is a great use of technology, rather than your team manually combing over records. It will also focus the review process, so risky transactions become a priority rather than your team needing to find them first. Not only does this functionality strengthen fraud controls, your AP team is freer to focus on higher-risk transactions and higher impact activities rather than manual reviews.
Now, if you’re looking at Sage Intacct and are thinking, “Um, where is it, Tom?” Well, the anomaly column doesn’t appear by default. Just head up to the Automated Transactions Page, add the column to a custom view and you’ll start getting anomaly indicators displayed.
Paying for Things Has Never Been So Good
Who wants to pay bills? No one, but every company has to. Thankfully Sage keeps incorporating feedback to make it even easier for your team. We really like:
Seeing More Filters
Sort to your hearts content with filters for Vendor, Vendor ID, Bill Number, Bill Date, Due Date, Currency, Amount Due, Inline Credit, and Preferred Payment Method.
Vendor Clarity
The columns have been split, with Vendor name and ID now appearing in separate columns for easier search and sort.
Paying the Way You Like
There’s an easy preferred payment method search that lets you group payments by method (check, ACH, wire transfer, etc.) to help prevent errors.
Sorting It Out
With the new sorting improvements, you can access dynamic sorting for key columns to make organizing better (though you should know that some attributes like Payment Priority, Discount Date, Location ID/Name are not supported).
With these latest Sage Intacct updates, new companies automatically receive the enhanced Pay bills experience while existing companies will receive it as part of a phased rollout and will be notified when it becomes available.
Asking for Money Is Better, Too!
Sending out incorrect invoices delays the entire repayment process. Thankfully, with the new ability to preview invoice details before starting an invoice run for billing groups, you can review billing information, amounts, and charges to help catch issues early and bill with confidence. Plus, customers now have the option to pay electronically directly from your invoice emails, another step faster in repayment. For Revenue Management users, invoices can be generated in Draft state so you can assign revenue recognition information before posting.
Simplified Bank Remittance Emails
You can now set up bank file remittance emails almost faster than you can say, “Set up bank file remittance emails”. With default AP remittance templates and entity-level merge fields to include entity-specific information, the whole process is more efficient. With these enhancements, organizations can create localized remittance communications and manage them more consistently across entities.
Emails Are More Secure
Cybersecurity threats are always looking for new avenues to access your data. Sage Intacct now verifies new or updated email addresses and will periodically ask users to confirm that their email address is still valid, significantly reducing breaches from old information or accounts falling into the wrong hands.
Automate to Trusted Emails
Further cybersecurity enhancements come with the new ability to block email addresses from automated document processing. It will prevent unwanted or suspicious email addresses from generating transactions in Sage Intacct through AP Automation, Sage Expense Management, and E-Invoicing. By blocking specific email addresses before documents enter Intacct, you can help reduce fraud and maintain greater control over automated transaction processing.
Empty Pages No More
Until now, dimension values with no data for the period were displaying as blank pages in reports, forcing you to manually remove them before presenting them. With this release, when you select the Individual report option to generate separate reports for certain dimensions, you can streamline the report output by suppressing those blank pages. Now you have presentation-ready reports with a click!
Working Together Better
The R3 release also introduces Sage Collaborate, the next generation of Intacct Collaborate. It’s designed to help your team communicate in real time directly on Sage Intacct records. Eligible companies can migrate from Intacct Collaborate to Sage Collaborate and take advantage of new capabilities that improve visibility, administration, and access management.
