We encountered a situation with a Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM client who specializes in selling and financing large residential construction projects. One of the major challenges in their lead qualification process was the need to confirm that potential clients not only had good credit but also owned the property where they intended to have the construction work done. This verification was crucial, as failure to confirm these details could lead to significant financial losses and operational setbacks.
To address this, we developed an automated solution using Power Automate. First, we integrated the client’s Dynamics 365 CRM with the API of Monevo, a personal credit platform. This integration enabled the system to perform soft credit inquiries on leads. When a lead or contact is entered into the CRM, their details are automatically sent to Monevo’s API, which returns a credit assessment. Based on this assessment, the lead is either qualified or disqualified, streamlining the process significantly.
Next, we tackled the challenge of verifying property ownership. We built another process that utilizes the API of Datafiniti/ATTOM, a service that provides detailed property records, including ownership information. When a lead’s address is submitted, the system sends the address information to Datafiniti/ATTOM, retrieves the ownership details, and automatically updates this information in Dynamics 365 CRM. This allows the client to quickly and accurately determine whether the lead indeed owns the property in question.
This solution was vital for our client, as they had previously encountered issues where leads falsely claimed property ownership. By automating both credit checks and property ownership verification, we helped our client mitigate risks and improve the accuracy and efficiency of their lead qualification process.
